Households deserve to know what they own and owe.

Most household finances live in fragments: balances in three banking apps, the mortgage in a fourth, the insurance policies in a drawer, the property records in someone’s email, and the full picture in one person’s head. That works right up until it doesn’t — a tax season, a move, an emergency, or simply the question “can we afford this?” with no honest way to answer it.

Owniko exists to put the whole picture in one place: accounts, transactions, budgets, property, insurance, documents, and the people who share them — across currencies and countries when your life spans them. Not another budgeting app, and not a dashboard of numbers without context. A ledger your household can actually run on.

Our principles

Your data is yours

Everything you record is encrypted in transit and at rest, never sold, and exportable at any time. Owniko is paid for by subscriptions, not by your data — there is no advertiser in this relationship.

Built for households, not just users

Money is usually shared: partners, parents, adult children, and other trusted people. Ledgers are shared by role, so each person sees exactly what you choose — never everything by default.

Honest numbers over flattering ones

Transfers are not spending. A card payment is not an expense. Paying principal makes you richer, not poorer. The bookkeeping rules inside Owniko exist so reports tell you the truth, even when the truth is unflattering.

What Owniko deliberately is not

Trust in a finance product comes as much from its limits as its features. Three lines we hold:

Owniko is not a bank

We do not hold, move, or touch your money. Owniko is the record and decision layer on top of the accounts you already have.

Owniko does not give financial advice

The product organizes facts and surfaces what needs attention, and our Learn library explains concepts with cited sources. Decisions about investments, taxes, insurance, or debt remain yours, ideally with a qualified professional.

Family Continuity is not estate planning

It makes what you own findable by people you trust, on rules you control. It does not create wills, powers of attorney, or any legal authority — and we say so, in the product, every time it matters.

Where we are, and how to reach us

Owniko is a small, focused team, and the product is in invite-only early access while we harden it with real households. If you have a question, a doubt, or a household situation our records model does not fit yet, we genuinely want to hear it — that feedback is how the product gets built.
